Belgian designers in the spotlight

During Antwerp Design Week, we want to consciously highlight Belgian designers and the stories behind their work. Belgium has a strong design culture, driven by craftsmanship, collaboration and a clear design vision.

Atelier Nilsen presents a collaboration with Belgian artist Jeroen Broucx, where sculpture and functionality come together in the FlintGrid Intersection.

Pomax collaborates with Belgian designer Antoinette Dewinter on the Meet the Kuti’s collection, a bold and playful collection inspired by symbols of fertility, growth and living energy.

Behind TOOON. stands Toon De Somer, a designer who translates craftsmanship and innovation into clear, characterful pieces. The Tamago table captures this approach. Its sculptural, egg-shaped base forms the heart of the design, built from layered wood and finished with cement for a strong, tactile presence.

These collaborations show the strength of Belgian design today. Different voices, different backgrounds, but a shared focus on quality, material and story.

Because behind every object, there is a designer. And behind many of those designers, there is Belgium

With Antwerp Design Week, we want to use the city as a stage for Belgian designers. Not in anonymous exhibition halls, but in the showrooms and studios where their ideas come to life.

In this way, we want to give Belgian designers the visibility they deserve and connect them with an international audience.
